Queer Library Alliance at Children’s Literature Hawai‘i

Recently, two folks affiliated with Mix IT Up!—Rae-Anne Montague, primary investigator and professor of library and information science at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and Tad Andracki, CCB Outreach and Communications coordinator—presented at the Seventeenth Biennial Conference of Children’s Literature Hawai‘i. Their talk covered aspects of using books with LGBTQ content with kids and teens and forming community partnerships to make sure that queer resources are selected and used to align with community needs.
